Highway 78 Sunset
11x14 oil on canvas panel

We were riding down Highway 78 on our way to Wadley, Georgia one evening and just had to grab a reference photo of a gate to a cotton field and the beautiful sunset.

"Window Sill Still"
8x10 watercolor

My kitchen window view of my backyard caught my eye one afternoon - a fun piece. The old fireplace isn't standing any longer though sad to say but glad I wasn't sitting in front of it when it went down!

"River Street - Savannah"
14x10 watercolor

One of my favorite cities in Georgia is Savannah, especially the squares and of course River Street. I took the reference photo for this watercolor on a past day trip to Savannah and thought it would make a good watercolor subject. Ships mounted to a 20x16 white mat.

"You've Got Mail"
10x8 Watercolor

I challenged myself to do a quick plein air of my front yard and driveway, very loose. Had to include the mailbox. The splash of color represent (loosely) azaleas. Ships mounted to black/white 14x11 mat.

"Reflections" 11x14 oil on canvas panel

The view from the bank of the Ogeechee River from under the Midville, Georgia bridge was striking. Had to paint it.

Midville Evening Light

"Midville Evening Light"
12x24 oil on stretched canvas

I am a winner in the DPW Monthly Contest for November with Midville Evening Light!

Riding through my town one early evening the golden light was beaming on the side of this old cotton warehouse and I just had to paint it along with the water tower.

"Southern Magnolia"
11x14 oil on stretched canvas

What is white about a magnolia? There are blues, violets, yellows, greens in all of those white petals in shadow and light. Lovely to paint.

This painting is unframed but is painted on all edges and is wired for hanging. Feel free to ask any questions. Thank you for looking!

"Full bloom white rose"
8x10 oil on canvas panel

I love flowers, but particularly white flowers and even better if it is a rose. I liked the drama of this white rose against the dark background. It is interesting how many colors there are in a "white" rose. This painting is unframed. Feel free to ask any questions. Thank you for looking!

"Ready to bloom"
10x8 oil on canvas panel

White flowers are so much fun to paint because there are so many "whites" in a bloom. This bud surprised me with it's rosy hues in the shadows. This painting is unframed. Feel free to ask any questions. Thank you for looking!

"Close up and personal"
8x10 oil on canvas panel
This was so close up it had to be considered abstract. Loved the colors and intensity of the bloom when viewed this close.

This painting is unframed. Feel free to ask any questions. Thank you for looking!

Country Power
10x8 Oil on Stretched Canvas

I never tire of a simple country road landscape.  I liked how the power lines lined the road along the way.
